Description
Disc-shaped copper alloy stud with three raised concentric rings. Between these, and in the centre, are the remains of enamel.
Disc stud decorated with enamel in concentric circles separated by reserved metal. The rectangular-sectioned shank is pierced by a circular hole. The enamel in the outer ring is missing while that in the two inner fields both appear greenish but were probably white or translucent originally.

"This form of decoration is common on studs and brooches. Examples from Scotland include several from Newstead (Curle 1911, pl.LXXXIX). Where datable they are usually of 2nd century date.
