Subject notes
The Municipal Buildings and Town Hall were built in 1962. The four-storey Municipal Buildings are clad in alternating bands of glass and ribbed metal. The Town Hall replaced a building in Newmarket Street which was demolished.

The helicopter is promoting the Royal Scots Greys, which was raised in 1678 as three independent troops of Scots Dragoons. ‘Greys’ referred to the colour of their horses. In 1971 The Royal Scots Greys and The 3rd Carabineers were merged to form the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.
