Subject notes
The old Falkirk Grammar School was reduced to an elementary school as a result of the 1872 Education Act leaving Falkirk without provision for the few senior pupils staying on. However after campaigning the former Grammar School was designated as a High School in 1886 and soon had over 350 pupils. In 1889 the High School moved to new buildings in Rennie Street and in 1962 it moved again to the buildings in Blinkbonny Road.
