Description
Long service medal for the WRVS in the original case in the original cardboard box. On the obverse the monogram is surrounded by ivy, the symbol of steadfastness. On the reverse shows rosemary, the woman's herb typifying remembrance and friendship. There is a spare ribbon. The case is a hinged metal box, like a spectacle case, with a green and gold exterior and a red and white interior.
This was awarded in 1971 for 15 years of service. Accompanying letter in the archives details when the medal should be worn.
