Description
Mid eighteenth century small sword with tapering triangular blade, copper hilt with traces of gilding. The double shell guard is well chiselled with mounted knights and scroll pattern, knucklebow and ovoid pommel. The handgrip is wire bound between silver(?) bands. Incomplete - knucklebow and blade tip broken.
Such swords were used for fencing.
