Dark green Dunmore cheese dish in the form of a domed lid sitting on a recessed circular plate. There is a heavy moulded band of grapevines around the waist with three wide grooves above and below. The moulded acanthus leaf knob has been reattached using a steel bolt!
The thick dark green glaze is chipped around the base and has been painted to match. There are three stilt marks inside the dome.
The base plate has four feet, three of which are chipped and painted. A ridge on the surface holds the dome in place. Stamped "PETER GARDNER/ DUNMORE/ POTTERY" on the base. 3 stilt marks and 1 painted chip on the underside.
