Description
Badge showing the bust of a man wearing an Australian style bush hat. The outer rim has been made by cutting out the edge of a sixpence. The bust is that of George VI, cut out of the coin. The hat has been produced by filing and buffing the upper part of the coin and lightly engraving it. A small safety pin has been soldered to the back for attachment.
This badge was made during a spell in a hospital in the Punjab, India, in the Second World War.
