The original pipe band of the 7th Royal Scots were killed in the Quintinshill Disaster. In November 1915 Camelon Pipe Band volunteered to a man to take the places of those band members who had been killed in the disaster.

Names for many of those in the photograph are known, however, only Danny Sinclair, piper (seated far right middle row) can be positively identified. The names of the others are
