Description
Medium-sized candlestick with curved handle in streaked dark green glaze. The stem swells up from the centre of a shallow dish and becomes larger in circumference so that it can take a recess for the candle. There is a rib ring at the bottom, top and centre of the stem. The cusp on top of this is formed from pinching a circular cup to created a three-sided container. From the rim at the centre of one of these sides rises a simple elegantly curved handle, which curves down to meet the rim of the dish.
Three stilt marks on the base.
