Maker
Davidson's Real Photo
Production date
Circa 1910
Description
Main Street, Camelon showing Camelon Bridge with a tram coming across it. A second tram is coming along Main Street, also towards Falkirk. Rosebank Distillery bonded warehouse on left. The picture is represented as being the flag on a flagpole. Printed beneath it is a poem of four verses, each with four lines:
"Thy sweet face I recall / Kind friend, so dear to me; / Fond memories of the past / Still bind my heart to thee.
"Time, as a bird, takes wing / How swift the moments fly! / 'Tis years since last we met / In happy days gone by.
"Ah! little we though then, / When our hearts were gay and free, / What other years would bring, / That parted we would be.
"Oh may this life be blest, / May joy and Peace be thine! / And may "The Morning Star" / Around thy pathway shine. E. H. M."
