Description
Lathe on a wooden A-shaped frame. The lathe can be operated by a wooden foot treadle attached to the flywheel, or by the leather belt to 1985-54-1. The flywheel, which has four wooden spokes and a metal rim, has been infilled with mortar to give it additional mass. The frame of the lathe is an "in-house" manufacture with the metal rests, etc being supplied separate.
