Subject notes
There is a paraffin lamp on the mantelpiece and a kettle on the range. A good fire burns in the grate. This would be a one room house with no running water, electricity or gas. It is in a poor state of repair but coal would be cheap. The family have few possessions. The rows belonged to James Nimmo and Company.
