Description
Middle part of a photograph showing 10 police officers, one of whom is Alexander Stewart. Stirling County Police. Four in the back row, with a sergeant two from left, three each in the other two rows. The officers with one stripe on their uniform sleeves are first class constables. On joining the force, officers were third class constables, and could work their way to first class constable in a year or so.This photo is not scanned. You can see the original in the Archives in Callendar House
