Snakeskin handbag bought at Harrods, London, in the late 1950s or early 1960s, to match shoes that the donor already had. Red brown in colour with an extendable handle and gold clasp. Brown lining and three pockets inside, one zipped. The bag cost £20 - almost a month's salary for the woman who worked at ICI.
