Green glass bottle inscribed: "D. & J. MACEWEN & CO./ REGIISTERED/ STERLINI/ TRADEMARK/ STIRLING". MacEwen had a general store in 1913 (Stirling Journal & Advertiser).

Sterlini was a whisky made by McEwens it was a 10 year old blend, made from several of the best know highland distilleries and matured on the premises in Stirling in sherry wood casks. The produce was sold to local and national hostelries and shipped as far as India, Africa and Canada.
