Description
Atlantic Star - six pointed star of yellow copper zinc alloy. The obverse of the star has the Royal Cypher of George VI, surmounted by a crown. Surrounded by a circlet with "The Atlantic Star" inscribed on it. The ribbon is blue, white and green to symbolise the waters of the Atlantic.
It was awarded for operational service in the Atlantic and home waters between 3 September 1939 and 8 May 1945 (2 Sept. 1945 in the Far East)
