iron; cutting

Description
Iron frame in the shape of the sole of a shoe. It is 26cm long and 9cm broad. The depth is almost 4cm, with the top edge flat and the upper sharp for cutting. It would have been used for cutting the leather sole in the same way as a pastry cutter.
The factory in Grahamsdyke Street was built by Young for making boots.
