Text on negative envelope reads 'Bascule Bridge-Institute with Lorry'. View of draymen unloading a barrel from the lorry. Annotated on reverse of print "Old fashioned bridge to be replaced. G'mouth's two bascule bridges in the old town, to carry 3 tons only, are now to be replaced by modern bridges at a cost of £20,000. The restrictions on heavy traffic has forced lorry drivers to discharge and roll their loads across as shown, sometimes for 100/200 yards"
