The fishing boat registration letters 'GG' do not relate to any port in the British Isles but are the letters for Geertruidenberg in Holland and Goteborg in
Sweden. The Forth and Clyde Canal was used by Dutch fishing boats so Geertruidenberg seems the most probably home port.
