The Scoraig peninsula is in the distance and Isle Martin, one of the Summer Isles, is on the right. In the early 19th century Isle Martin had a population of about 100 based on fishing and agriculture. It is now owned by the Isle Martin Trust. The promontory now has a caravan site. Fish-farming has brought employment to the area. The road has been widened to full width and straightened.
