Subject notes
For long after the houses were built, the absence of an access road would not be a problem. No-one would own a car and before that, few had carts. People had few possessions and what they had rarely needed to be transported anywhere. Sea was the easiest form of transport. The skylights probably mean that there would be two small bedrooms upstairs in the attic. There is a wooden hut to the right of the cottages. It may be an outside toilet.
