Text on negative envelope reads 'Gairloch. Thatched Croft house. Afternoon lighting'. Croft house at Strath called "Druim na Darach" or bank of oaks. The single-storey croft house has a thatched roof and rubblestone walls. There is an outbuilding behind it and an extension on the right. Cattle are grazing in front of it. Other croft houses are dotted over the hillside.
