The boat is MV Darthula II which operated excursions on Loch Etive for tourists. Tourism has brought substantial income to the Highlands for the past two centuries. Cruachan pump-storage power station was one of the first in the world when it opened in 1966. It generates 400MW and the machinery is buried inside the mountain.
