vase

Maker
Dunmore Pottery
Production date

Description
Tall crackle glaze vase, green with red veining. quatrefoil stem with swollen rim. The glaze extends into the cup of the mouth, but stops at this point. On the rim there are two patches of black glaze. The base is glazed. This is not the deep glassy glaze associated with Dunmore in its prime.
The base is stamped DUNMORE under the glaze, making it difficult to read, but it may be type 1. Far more prominent is a curving DUNMORE stamp in sans serif - type 4c. There is also a separate stamp "12".
