Slamannan Parish is a pre-reformation parish and was probably disjoined from Falkirk. After 1929 the congregation adopted the name Slamannan St Laurence. The present congregation was formed by the union of Slamannan St Laurence and Slamannan Balquatstone on 25 October 1945.
