Description
Fitting new lock gates at Lock 16, taken from the bridge on the canal. Four workmen are standing close to the gate as it is suspended from the crane, prior to lying it flat on the ground. The crane is almost fully visible on the left. The Union Inn is in background centre, partly obscured by the suspended gate.This photo is not scanned. You can see the original in the Archives in Callendar House
