Description
A girl is standing on a lawn in the garden, with a black dog beside her. She is wearing a white or light coloured dress to below the knee. The sleeves are tight to the elbow, with horizontal same colour banding, and puffed above the elbow. The breast of the dress is ruffled. She is also wearing a necklace, and black or dark stockings and tie shoes. Her hair is long, and tied back. Behind her is a path in midground right and left, with bushes behind the path. In midground left, behind some small bushes is a stone dyke. In front of the dyke is a garden urn. She is probably the sister of the boy Alex Prangnell in p 35976. The house was built for Dr J T Prangnell and his family, and they lived there until his death in 1933. The girl is probably his daughter, but this is not known for certain.
