Description
The house is in the background, with a croquet lawn in the foreground. Four people and a dog are on the lawn; the three people to the right are all holding croquet mallets. The boy on the right is wearing knee britches, thick socks, striped jacket. The girl 2 from right is wearing a just below knee length light coloured dress with ruffled neck. Her hair is tied back with a ribbon. The older girl, 2 from left is wearing a dark skirt, light coloured top, and appears to have a large bow in her hair. The man on the left is wearing a dark suit, white shirt, white hat. There are garden urns and benches in front of the house, and a line of washing to the right of the house. The younger girl is believed to be the mother of the original owner of the photograph, and a daughter of Dr Prangnell, who built the house for himself and his family. They lived there until his death in 1933.
