Description
Clay mustard container from Maille. This brand of mustards originated in Marseille, France in 1723 and made mustard and vinegar. They are now a subsidiary of Unilever. Printed on it is:
"MOUTARDE DE MAILLE/ VINAIGRIER DE LL.MM. /LA REINE D'ANGLETERRE/ ET LES EMPEREURS/D'AUTRICHE ET DE RUSSIE/ A PARIS" translates as Maille Mustard, Vinegar maker from LL. MM. The Queen of England and the Emperors of Austria and Russia in Paris.
