Description
Silver tray with mirrored glass plateau and nulled border. Enamelled and engraved shields mounted along the edge. Designed to dismantle for cleaning. Wooden base underneath.
Part of a silver dessert service presented to Provost John Russel of Mayfield, JP, by his friends to mark their appreciation of the great value of his public services and presented in 1923 to the Town Council by RWM Walker, son-in-law of Provost John Russel.
It consists of 10 pieces plus a fitted packing case.
