'Franqueline built specially for the Canadian Lakes Grain Trade has her engines aft and the bridge right up on the bow with four large holds in between. She is welded throughout instead of riveted and replaces a similar ship the Joseph Medell which sailed from Grangemouth some months ago and was lost. She is taking a cargo of coal to Canada with her'
