Description
Cast iron umbrella stand made by the Falkirk Iron Company. It has geometric floral decoration with a central upright oval panel set between two barley twist engaged columns surmounted by urn finials. The back and base are stamped 'FALKIRK No. 20.P 258A OR1/No. 20. PL 258 A' and registered design mark (7.4.1865). It had been painted brown and white, but has been cleaned by the Museum.
