Description
World War II helmet made from synthetic materials. Black in colour and embossed on rim "REGD/ PLASFORT/ PAT APPLIED FOR", with writing on the strap "J. LAWRIE".
Plasfort made helmets for the civilian market with some being used by the APR and factory workers. They resembled the MKII steel helmets but didn't offer much protection. They were made from Bakelite and others of light alloy and compressed fibre.
