Description
Marmalade slicer in green cast iron. This looks like a table mounted mincer and has the same thumb screw mount. A cylindrical wooden peg is used to push the quartered marmalade oranges through and the cutting blade is oscillated by hand.
This object was used at Robert Adam's grocer's store at Howgate/Cockburn Road and was often loaned out to customers.
