gauge

Production date
1914-1916
Description
Set of seven gauges used at the Falkirk Iron Works. They take the form of a spindle set in a thick collar, providing inside and outside gauges. The dates stamped on them show that they were made in the First World War, but it is not known what they were measuring. The smallest 5 are knurled. A greater range of gauges was used, but only 7 have been added to the museum collection.
