Description
Sleekers, iron, foot recessed, rectangular, shaft rectangular, flat, blade rectangular, flat, curved (at end). See original MDA card for illustration. Associated with George Paul & Company Limited, Denny, circa 1910-present day. Used for smoothing the wall at a mould. The foot of the tool was used for smoothing the sand at the bottom of a mould and for putting more sand into the mould. Slight bevel on foot would indicate curved surface function.
