 Description
Butterfly valve (disc valve), iron (Ni-Resist), circular in shape. Casting (in relief) on obverse "125-010 3 SGRT". Made by Robert Taylor & Company (Ironfounders) Limited in Larbert in 1978. Fitted to valves largely used under corrosive salt water conditions. Pressure of water etc. spins disc on its axis thereby controlling flow of liquid.
