Description
Dunmore teapot in the form of a tortoise with a thistle knob on the lid. The elongated tail curls up to form the handle and the mouth acts as the spout. Pale green and brown glaze with cobalt blue patches. Pink interior glaze.
No stamp, but a double circle on the base.
Broken across the neck and glued. There is also a firing crack along the base, which has been filled in with a yellow paste. Ditto one toe.
