View of two-storey buildings, one with snow covered pantiles and the other with a slate roof, dormers and gable end. The second building is occupied by a restaurant. A horse-drawn fish-and-chip shop is parked outside. Two residents in the top floor are having a 'hing oot'.

The signs advertise 'Ritchie for ices and aerated waters', 'King's - The fish supper restaurant' , 'Tripe', 'Broth', 'Fry's Pure Cocoa and Chocolate' and 'Cyclist Rest & Sitting Rooms'. Later known as Seaview Cafe
