This album was compiled by James Mather, Headteacher of Laurieston School.
After comparing this album with the Laurieston School War Memorial it was found that Robert Campbell, John Chalmers, John Gibson, William Masterton, John McMartin and Robert McQueen had been killed but were not marked as such in the album.
171 men were originally pictured in the album. Of those, 34 died as a result of the war. The photographs of 4 of the men had been removed from the album before it came into our collections.
