Standburn Trust was set up by James Nimmo & Co in 1914 with profits from licensed premises in Standburn; the initial capital being £2,500. It was intended to maintain the Peddie Hall, Standburn, provide for a medical nurse for Standburn and the local area and generally promote the welfare of local employees. The Trust was modified in 1929 and 1959.
