Name/title notes
The Burgh Chamberlain was responsible for the financial accounts of Grangemouth Town Council and its predecessors. Part of the Chamberlain’s duties included the compilation of annual assessment rolls (or valuation rolls) and the collection of rates based on these annual assessments. The post ceased to exist in 1975 when Grangemouth Town Council was abolished and the functions were transferred to the Director of Finance of Falkirk District.
