Description
Bronze medal struck to commemorate the King's visit to Scotland in 1903. The obverse bears the head of King Edward with the wording "EWARDVS VII REX IMPERATOR". The reverse depicts a crown with a branch of oak with laurel on either side. Above this are the words "FROM HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII 1903", whilst in the upper rim are the words "SCOTTISH POLICE". The edge is inscribed "P.C. J. GORMAN".
The ribbon is 32mm wide in plain red and hangs from a small ornamental brooch bearing a thistle.
The medal is placed in a homemade display case/box.
