Medal showing the winged figure of Victory on the front of the medal and on the back, it says 'The Great War for Civilisation 1914-1919’. The ribbon colours represent the combined colours of the Allied nations, with the rainbow additionally representing the calm after the storm. The ribbon consists of a double rainbow with red at the centre. It represents the combined colours of the Allied nations, with the rainbow additionally representing the calm after the storm.
On the edge is the inscription "S - 022598 PTE J.M. GORMAN. GORDONS.".
The ribbon is red in the centre, with green and violet on either side, shaded to form to colours of two rainbows
The medal is placed in a homemade display case/box.
