Larbert Station with a train departing pulled by a 2-4-0 locomotive. Features include a semaphore signal, a water tower and a signal box. Between the locomotive buffers are the initials CR. Four mainline tracks run through the station which is overlooked by the Station Hotel.

Larbert was a busy station used by the North British (NB) and Caledonian Railway Companies, with traffic from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the north. Hence stopping tracks and express tracks run through the station.
