Description
1 base sherd with complete foot ring and internal stamp of "AVITUS.F".
A paper label stuck to the bottom reads "Camelon R & A Main... 1925".
The stamp is that of Avitus III of Lezoux (die 7a). It also occurs at Bar Hill, Inveresk and Newstead, and in the destruction deposit of the Wroxeter Forum.
