Original cataloguing states "From West". However, Glasgow road runs north - south so photo must be from south, not west.
Denny Iron Works operated from 1870 until 1985. In the 1920s it employed over 300 men. It specialised in light high pressure castings for the shipbuilding industry, involving special steels. Materials were ferried to and from the rail station by cart and later lorry.
