Description
Bust of Robert Burns made from peat and linseed oil. The peat was dug from Gardrum Moss and sent to Germany, c1980, where it was compressed into a mould with the oil. The bust has a flat back with a sloping hole for suspension to a wall. The dark brown/black material is finely facetted and shows the typical young Burns. There is slight damage to the front at the bottom.
