Description
Original cartoon for the Durban Daily News concerning Daniel[l] F Malan and Eric Louw of the National Party who opposed South Africa's participation in World War II. It shows a singer [Daniel F Malan] holding a newspaper, with a picture of Eamonn De Valera captioned "Lets not be beastly to the Eamonns", with a piano accompanist [Eric Louw]. It is inscribed "To David [Brechin]-a reminder of our Durban days together, Jock [Leyden]". Black and white ink and black crayon on paper.
