Also mentioning about the impending marriage of James Shaw [Alexander’s nephew]. Also mentioning that a bond and Instrument of Sasine for Dalquhairn and Paixhole in favour of him [Alexander] is in in his hand. Also mentioning that he thought it unfair that Alexander had been asked by his brother [James Shaw] and nephew to lay our so much of his money. Letter damaged, parts missing.

Advising that he contact James immediately about this; also endorsed Letter from Thomas Heugh, who verified what Ann Wardrop had said and advised that he get a heritable bond for the money he had sent already.
